Private Universities

First of  all in 2003, under section 22 of UGC Act. 173 Private Universities were establised. In this Act. Private Universities can award the degree through main campus, but can not affiliate a college or an institute. However they can establish off-campus centers within concerened State after existence of five years and UGC approval.  Also these Universities offer the courses through distance mode by approvel of UGC-AICTE and DEC jointly.
